Great views, good food, happy memories

VISITING West Cork from Canada for the first time in 23 years for a family reunion recently, we were awestruck by the beauty of Barleycove and its environs.

I was particularly impressed with the stunning Barleycove beach and the cleanliness of the water.

All 136 of our extended family, most of whom had not met for several years, were delighted with the accommodation. The food at the hotel was exquisite and all the staff were very customer focussed.

We toured around West Cork for a couple of days and while positive change is evident everywhere, I was taken especially by the fact that towns and villages seem to have lost little of their originality - in fact the better aspects have been enhanced. It’s great to see after all these years.
