Why only the GAA?

THE GAA has received another €40 million grant from the sport minister John O’Donoghue, bringing the total to date to €110m from state funds towards the refurbishment of Croke Park.

Will the GAA welcome the IRFU and the FAI during the refurbishment of Lansdowne Road and bend or abolish rule 42? I think not.

League of Ireland clubs should be the ones to benefit from grants like that if we are going to try to keep up with our European counterparts.

Mr O’Donoghue should bring some clear thinking to his expenditure decisions so that the ones to benefit are those who really need it.
