Not right for the frame

I APPLAUD the article on timber-frame houses (Irish Examiner, Homestyle, April 26).

Not right for the frame

The article is correct and informative, but the photograph is of a North American construction site. The house under construction is of a type different to that which is acceptable by Irish building standards.

Also the scaffolding in the photograph would not meet Irish health and safety standards, as there is no guard rail. Please use photographs of Irish-built timber-frame houses; there are many of them.
