Clarification of facts about Cork 2005

I WOULD like to draw your attention to a number of inaccuracies in an article titled “There’s your culture: the arts in 2005” (Irish Examiner, December 27) that Cork 2005 would ask you to correct at your earliest convenience.

1 The article states that “O’Flynn Construction bankrolled a series of gigs billed as Live at the Marquee”.

In fact, these were a commercial series of concerts promoted by Aiken Promotions which were supported by McCarthy Developments, among others. O’Flynn Construction was in no way involved with this event.
