I AM a third-year history student at the University of Sussex in Brighton.

Women emigrants and the Catholic influence

As part of my final year project I have chosen to research the impact and role of the Catholic Church on the lives of the countless numbers Irish Catholic women who emigrated to England in the period from the end of World War II in 1945 up to 1970.

I am looking for any of these women who would be willing to fill in a questionnaire about their general life story. All replies will be treated in the strictest confidence.

As a second generation young Irishwoman this is a topic that is particularly important to me, and it is my aim to produce an accurate account on the history of these women. If you are one of them I would be very grateful if you would contact me at the address below.
