HOW wonderfully ironic to see Fianna Fáil deny citizenship to those who are born by ‘accident of birth’ to the children of illegal immigrants in Ireland.

Would Dev be shot in his own republic?

Was the life of Eamon de Valera, their founding father, spared in 1916 by the US citizenship granted to him despite the fact that both of his parents were illegal immigrants to the country of his birth?
