How dare they demand a reference to God and Christianity in the EU constitution!

He insists Ireland is a “secular state”. But secularism is equally opposed to all faiths, so it seems the latter face a common threat.

Your correspondent ignores the inconvenient fact that the Christian tradition and heritage remain deep-rooted in Ireland and the rest of Europe. Past generations suffered greatly for their God-given faith. Will the present generation betray them?
