No particular place to go

I WISH to complain about the lack of facilities available to teenagers in the Bantry area. We hold a Foroige club each Tuesday night between 7.30 and 9.00 and a disco every second Friday night. For these facilities we have to pay. The problem is many teenagers don’t have the money.

No particular place to go

Adults are always complaining about children getting up to “no good and roaming the streets until all hours,” but what choice do they have if they want a social life outside of school?

The only reason teenagers drink, smoke and get into trouble is out of boredom and lack of entertainment. Why can’t we have an activity centre that doesn’t cost money to attend? Teenagers shouldn’t have to pay to see their friends.
