GAA’s traditional voice entitled to a hearing

I SEE that GAA president Seán Kelly has resumed his campaign to open Croke Park to soccer and rugby (but no other grounds - why?).

GAA’s traditional voice entitled to a hearing

Readers might assume that Mr Kelly is calling for a debate on the matter - but that’s the last thing he wants because that would see the case for keeping rival sports out of Croke Park outlined for all to see.

At least I can only assume this to be the case because when I put forward arguments for preserving the status quo to Mr Kelly last year, he refused to answer. He talks about motions for next year’s congress: how about a motion proposing that the president display some moral courage on this issue?
