God bless America, the saviour of Europe

I WAS outraged at Brian Flanagan’s suggestion (Irish Examiner letters, March 7) that Christ is in Iraq and thus would be responsible for its actions, or its dictator’s actions in building palaces all over the country while his people suffer misery, fear and lack of medicines which are distributed only to Ba’ath party members.

Is Mr Flanagan also accusing Christ of responsibility for the gassing of 5,000 Kurds and the murder of one million in Saadam’s war against Iran?

I suppose he also blames Christ, America and the Jews for Saddam’s invasion of Kuwait. God bless America, which has twice saved Europe in world wars.
