Good riddance

OUR politicians have taken off on junkets all over the world for St Patrick’s Day — all at the unfortunate taxpayers’ expense.

You don't see American politicians leaving the US every Independence Day or French politicians leaving on Bastille Day yet our undistinguished lot can't wait to get out, like rats from a sinking ship, every March 17.
