Old Head protesters also have a voice

IN your article “Old Head braced for protest invasion” (Irish Examiner, May 17) I noticed a number of untruths.

First off, the article is very one-sided we heard no views from protesters themselves. Also, I have been at the protest three times and never have I seen anyone wearing a balaclava, and the only intimidation was golfers hitting golf balls right over the heads of the protesters.

Also, that road, if I'm not mistaken, belongs to Irish Lights. And it's very ironic to see signs saying: "Please do not pick flora" they practically flattened the heather for an enormous venture that only the extremely rich can benefit from.

I am now 14 and will be going into the junior certificate year in September, and I only hope that if I do well, I won't turn into a businessman with less concern for nature than a rubbish tip.
