No tax, no voice

OVER 200 years ago, some American revolutionaries threw a load of tea into Boston harbour with a cry of “No taxation without representation.”

No tax, no voice

Today we should say, "No representation without taxation."

There is absolutely no justification for giving representatives of a foreign power a position to influence the legislation of this State nor is there a justification for giving votes to our diaspora (and I write as one who has spent one-third of his voting life as a member of that diaspora).
