Israel has the right to protect itself
Writing from the calm and safety of beautiful Adare, he denies Israelis the right to build a fence with which to defend their lives, to remove a suspected assassin from the custody of an administration committed to wiping out their whole country and insists on due process for known mass murderers while Israeli children await an almost certain annihilation from them. And he calls the Israelis barbaric!
God forbid that Adare should ever come under the kind of threat that would restore Mr Higgins’ sense of proportion and morality.
It would be better all round if he examined his own prejudices in the luxury of his secure surroundings.
There is plenty of real barbarity in this world, in Africa, Asia and South America, with which we should occupy ourselves.
This kind of biased analysis just adds another burden to an already tragic situation.
