Health minister isdoing the right thing
Five million people died from smoke-related problems in 2000 a staggering statistic. Surely Mr Martin is only thinking of the country's health. I hope he ignores his detractors. How would they like to spend a night behind a bar with their heads immersed in smoke? And the bullyboy behaviour of many bar owners is a disgrace.
Some years back, two close friends, both heavy smokers, died of lung cancer. They had been two well-built men but at death they resembled two five-stone skeletons. A photograph of them should be hung in every bar in the country. Cancer cures smoking.
