The last straw

ON the The Last Word from Today FM recently there was an interview with Horace Silver (not his real name), a London gangster who has written a book about his experiences in the seedy world of organised crime.

The presenter, Matt Cooper, asked him had he ever had links with Irish criminal gangs and, more precisely, "republican groups". He denied any involvement.

One can only conclude that he didn't fancy being called as a witness to the Mahon Tribunal.
