Those responsible have been expelled and are lucky still to be alive.

No British soldier has ever been dismissed for killing an Irish person in the Six Counties. A tiny few have been convicted of murder, but all were released early. However, an officer who was caught cheating on a TV quiz show was dismissed for bringing the army into disrepute!
