That is the following statement made by the judge: “I deal with a lot of family law in this court. One rarely comes across instances of beatings. In this case we have three. Violence once would be unusual. Violence twice would be very unusual. Three times is exceptional.”

This comment raises serious questions about the massive State-financed campaigns on violence against women and the multi-million euro industry that has grown up around it.
