Finlay finds a platform for his prejudice
His personal opinions don’t bother me, but the licence he gets from a national newspaper to express such extreme prejudice does. To add insult to injury, your newspaper pays him for that dubious privilege.
There are many subscribers to your newspaper who would have a similar aversion to the Labour Party, to the truculent arrogance of its most recent leaders, one of whom had no difficulty in forming a government with Fianna Fáil (yes, the same Fianna Fáil that Mr Finlay despises).
Many are put off also by the far left mantras still espoused by many Labour supporters and by the inbred philosophy of a party that preaches the harder a person works the more he should be taxed. These readers, unfortunately, do not have the platform that Mr Finlay has.
