Move over Boston, our heart is with Berlin
The Tánaiste spent the best part of April announcing plant closures or downsizing by US corporations, on the one hand, and new investments by some of Germany’s largest industrial and pharmaceutical groups, on the other.
I think it is fair comment to suggest that after such a torrent of German-provided capital and jobs in this era of economic gloom, that our beloved Tánaiste’s heart must now be a tad closer to Berlin than Boston.
