Abuse of elderly people not that extensive

AN inadvertent misprint in your very worthwhile article on abuse of elderly people (Irish Examiner, January 5) may unduly worry people.

Some 3% to 5% of older people are estimated to be abused, not 35%, as I am sure many readers will have realised.
