Joy in the city, but louts mar town festival

CORK City Council, all contributors and the citizens of Cork should be congratulated for the wonderful festive atmosphere created in celebrating the entry of 10 new member states to the European Union.

On Grand Parade, Patrick Street and throughout the city, festivities were a joy to behold.

There was music and dancing, an abundance of talent and a variety of international cuisine to complement the happy, smiling faces enjoying the momentous occasion.
