Roadstone gets its waste licence after all

THE EPA informs the media that it has refused a waste licence application from Roadstone in Wicklow. It says this confirms the Agency’s proposed decision which came out last July. That decision was to refuse the application.

Roadstone gets its waste licence after all

Normally if someone applies for a licence and their application is refused they end up with no licence. Strangely that is not so here: in fact the EPA has given Roadstone a waste licence.

Readers can see the licence for themselves on the EPA website at www.epa.ie.

The reference number is 213-1 and it is dated February 9, 2006.

Why is the EPA encouraging people to think it has refused to give Roadstone a licence when the company has just been given one by the agency?
