I WAS shocked by the news that 130 jobs are to be axed from Clondalkin by the decentralisation of the Irish Prison Service headquarters.

To hear that the staff were not even consulted and did not hear about it until the Budget was incredible.

I hope the staff resist the move and do not allow themselves to be bullied by the Government, which includes local TDs Mary Harney and John Curran.
