Value parents in the home

I WOULD like to congratulate you on your headline in the Irish Examiner. It is extremely important that working parents should receive tax relief/credit for the provision of childcare.

However, stay-at-home parents should not continue to be discriminated against and I particularly refer to the unjust individualisation process that this Government has introduced.

As a stay-at-home parent I have made a choice to sacrifice my potential earnings in favour of being in a position to rear my children. This is my choice but the role of the stay-at-home parent must not be undervalued or discriminated against. Keep up the good work.
