WITH reference to the discussion about a metro for Dublin, this is a brief quote from the 1986 Michelin Guide to Paris:
Dublin way behind the metro timetable

"Parisians first took the metro in July, 1900, 37 years after Londoners first took the tube (1863)... Since then other capitals and major cities have followed suit: Berlin (1902), Madrid (1919), Tokyo (1927), Moscow (1935), Rome (1955), Lisbon (1959)..."

Obviously this list is not complete but it is time we had our Dublin metro.
