Slowly getting there

“FAST, frequent and great value fares connecting people to business and places.” That’s how Iarnród Éireann announced their ‘improved’ Cork-Cobh service which began on December 8.

Slowly getting there

On Monday morning last I waited at a cold Rushbrooke station for the 7.15am train from Cobh to Cork. I continued to wait for the next train, at 7.40am, which arrived ten minutes late.

The 7.40am from Cobh was again late on December 12, as was the 18.30 from Cork to Cobh on December 11.

Credit to Iarnród Éireann where it's due for the 'improved service' but only when trains arrive when they are due.
