THE recent media hype about how the country should honour the men and women of Easter week has developed into a political board game. Let us mark the 90th anniversary by saving the Irish Alamo.

This is your chance to save Ireland’s Alamo

Dublin City Council has adopted a motion formally requesting the Minister for Environment, Heritage and local Government to declare 14-17 Moore Street a national monument. The public can make representations until March 24.

We call on Catholic, Protestant and dissenter to submit representations in support of listing 14-17 Moore Street (which includes the last headquarters of the provisional government in 1916) in writing to, Niamh Lambert, Admin Officer, Planning Dept, Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8 before March 24.
