For the record, Michelle still has her medals

IN response to AF MacGabhann (Irish Examiner letters, Sept 16), let me point out that I am not a Michelle de Bruin apologist.

I was merely pointing out in my letter published on September 1 that the Irish Examiner had listed all Irish Olympic gold medallists with the sole exception of Ms de Bruin.

Your correspondent says the written history of the Atlanta games will record that Michelle de Bruin received three golds and a bronze.
