Their grief on this day is the result of (1) their rejection of parallel Palestinian Arab and Palestinian Jewish states in 1947, (2) the subsequent foreign Arab invasions of Mandatory Palestine, and (3) the resultant Arab flight.
Had these foreign Arab armies succeeded in throwing all the Jews into the sea the Palestinian Arabs would still not have had a state.
