Continue fight for cheaper AIDS drugs

THERE are 42 million AIDS sufferers in the world today. Yet we have the technology and treatments available to combat such diseases.

However, governments in developing countries cannot afford to pay the exorbitant price for the medicines needed to combat AIDS, which will claim over three million lives this year alone.

Developing countries must be given the right to distribute these much needed medicines to their own people on their own licensing terms.
