Offensive cartoon

I WAS saddened to see the cartoon with Colm Rapple’s column (Irish Examiner Money & Jobs, February 4) column. It had a caption ‘Trust in Jesus and be saved’.

Offensive cartoon

Reducing the crucifixion of our saviour to a mere investment savings account, if not incitement to religious hatred, is highly offensive to all Christians. Presumably, targeting the sacred is less litigious, for the time being at least. If Christ had a sense of humour, he also had a sense of values.

Our loving saviour should not be the subject of mirth through such an association of ideas.
