RTE, his defence of that organisation on your leader page today is not surprising.

This concern for RTE is consistent. Last autumn on RTE's Arts Show, he was trotted out to savage the first book published in 20 years that was entirely devoted to RTE and its problems.

It was called Maverick and was an informed critique, based on 40 years’ experience on the National Broadcaster.
