Dancing for joy

I AM the busker - or the tap-dancing gentleman, as I was so kindly described in your letters column - who was only too pleased to help the lady from Co Tipperary who fell victim to a thief in a Cork city store last month.

I wish to thank her and her husband for their kind comments about me in a letter to you (Irish Examiner, December 9).

I get great fun out of dancing in Cork. I’m a Yorkshire man with a Kerry father who used to pick me up as a child to dance around the kitchen.
