This is the European Year of the Disabled, and what is the Government’s first contribution?
It has chopped funding for disability grants. This scheme was of invaluable assistance to the disabled and the elderly in need of ground floor accommodation, bathrooms, stairlifts, etc.
Many people who had their applications in as long ago as last August have now been told that the work will not be going ahead.
