Dempsey should shed notions of ‘upperosity’
Education Minister Noel Dempsey does not appear to agree. Is it because he is from the Royal County that he appears to have notions of ‘upperosity’, preferring to adopt the royal protocol and dictate the terms of his acceptance to teacher conferences in advance?
Mr Dempsey stated at the ASTI conference last year that he was willing to take questions from the floor.
As mine was the only hand raised it would not have taken him too long to reply, yet he ran out of the hall like a scalded cat. Parents, teachers and students have attended his ‘Yes Minister’ meetings on his terms. Perhaps he should do likewise with his employees.
