US now risks being enslaved by abortion

IN response to Rónán Mullen (Irish Examiner, Dec 17), the statements pro and con that I hear on abortion are hauntingly similar to the arguments on slavery that were made here in the early to mid 1800s.

Those who supported slavery made the point that a negro was not fully human, and therefore could be regarded as property.

Those supporting abortion also try to avoid admitting that an unborn baby is a human, so it’s OK to kill it.
