Junior minister should resign - or be sacked

IT would be difficult to imagine a minister in any other western democratic government retaining his or her portfolio having made the kind of racist remarks attributed to junior minister Conor Lenihan in the Dáil last Wednesday.

Junior minister should resign - or be sacked

His hurriedly drafted apology, designed as a cynical measure to save his ministerial skin, simply compounds the crassness of his behaviour.
