Degrees of disgrace

I REFER to you report concerning Bishop Eamonn Casey (Bishop ’should be at Galway Mass,’ Irish examiner, September 28). I wish you would not refer to him as “disgraced”

I’m sure that what happened between him and Annie Murphy was as nature - if not God - intended. I’m also sure the Catholic Church would breathe a long sigh of relief if the worst scandal to befall it was the sexual union of two consenting adults and not the abuse and rape of little children.
