Community halls should be up to standard and in the right places

MANY school halls are below standard and not appropriate for recreational sports. However, every school does not need a €1 million hall. If such halls were well located in urban areas, they could cater for a number of schools.

Community halls should be up to standard and in the right places

If facilities are properly co-ordinated, it is not necessary for every parish to have a community hall. Still, more of the right kind should be built.

They should be properly staffed, run and resourced to serve the needs of the local community and to develop in young people a love of recreation, healthy living and sport.
