What the US is really up to?

I AM amazed that in the media’s coverage of the situation in Venezuela no mention has been made of the support – overt and otherwise – Washington has been giving to this business-led strike of the wealthy against the poor.

For instance, there was no mention of the fact that prior to coup attempt last April, the US National Endowment For Democracy increased its overt funding to opponents of President Chavez, funnelling this money through the International Republican Institute.

This overt funding is probably just a fraction of covert funding to anti-Chavez groups What we have in Venezuela is an attempt by Washington to effect another ‘regime change.
