Bush dishonours the dead of 9-11
While the rest of the world is meeting to save the planet and billions of starving citizens, Bush is meeting friends on his Texan ranch to discuss a war with Iraq that no other country needs or supports.
Pontification from a country whose political contribution includes ineffective sanctions, and more than $3 billion a year in military and economic aid to Israel, is a little hard to swallow especially in the Middle East. Moralising from a country which airs the freak-show that is The Jerry Springer Show and allows 37-year-old Utah resident, Tom Green, marry and conceive a child with his 13-year-old step-daughter seems hypocritical at best.
President Bush and his boys with toys in the US Army will inevitably hijack the September 11th anniversary for their own violent means a cynical exercise to whip up patriotic fervour and justify their obscene military budgets by spilling more Arab blood. It is an insult, not a tribute, to those who died so tragically last year.
