You’re a Star system favours the male voice

FURTHER to Paul Seymour’s questioning of RTE’s system of delivering the popular vote for the You’re A Star final (Irish Examiner, March 11), there is one problem with the programme which its makers cannot overcome in the current format.

You’re a Star system favours the male voice

Chris Doran is the archetypal boy band unit, just as runner-up Simon Casey was last year. Jean Elliott’s ability to tackle so many different genres was refreshing, to say the least.
