Roads closed to spare the emperor’s blushes
Why can’t the gardaí check the planes carrying military cargo and realise the very real threat they pose to innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan?
During Bush’s visit, peace campaigners will be treated like criminals for daring to offend the powerful.
They will be prevented from entering the area to exercise their freedom of movement and freedom to protest.
Meanwhile, the man who has killed more innocent people than Osama bin Laden will receive the red carpet treatment from the Garda Siochána who will obediently close off several of Ireland’s road to spare the emperor’s blushes.
How craven and shameless has this country become?
