Let’s ride a bike through the heart of the transport grand plan
However, the grand plan ignores cycling. While increasing car usage has created a coil of unending traffic jams, most people still choose not to cycle.
The main reasons for this are something I would like to discuss and resolve.
* Cycling can be dangerous, particularly in urban areas. Solution: bike lanes.
* Explain the benefits of cycling to urban planners.
* Bicycle theft has increased by 85% this year. Solution: extra secure locking facilities.
