IRELAND has been excluded from the list of countries allowed to participate in the reconstruction of Iraq.

The Taoiseach believes that this is because of the Government’s anti-war stance.

An appropriate response to this exclusion, therefore, would be for the Government to withdraw its continuing support for the ongoing occupation of Iraq by suspending the Shannon military stopover.
