THE suggestion by Patrick L O’Brien (Irish Examiner letters, November 11) that “any right minded Irish person” would be frightened by the prospect of Sinn Féin in government is ridiculous.

It is an insult to the hundreds of thousands who voted for SF throughout the island in 2004.

These voters were perfectly “right minded”. Perhaps he meant to say right wing?
