Striving for balance
Apart from the fact that this applies to most capital cities, it is exacerbated by government refusal to take seriously the simple fact that successful countries have more than one business centre.
If Galway, Cork, Limerick/Shannon, Letterkenny and Waterford had received proper attention, planning and funding over the last 20 years, the whole country would be far better off now.
Dublin would not be so expensive because property prices and business rentals would not be so absurdly high. And the decentralisation of civil servants would not be such a problem.
