No place for walkers

THE letter from David O’Riordan headlined ‘Main road has no place for walkers’ (Irish Examiner, October 17) has prompted me to air the views of many people here in Drimoleague in west Cork.

No place for walkers

The main Cork/Bantry road has no footpath at either end of this busy village. This road is used by many people who like to walk - schoolchildren, mothers with babies in buggies, cyclists and local residents.

Surely a footpath is not asking too much.
