Far from being a dour event, the Games were the most moving, engaging and inspiring event that has hit our shores in a long time. The athletes were talented people, and the Games gave them the opportunity to display that.

Louis Walsh, of course, has limited experience of working with talented people, so he just wouldn’t understand.
